We have attached an invitation for you with additional information. We look forward to meeting and sharing this new cooperative learning journey with you.

Local Business Owners -
We Need You!
Lubbock-Cooper High School is looking for local business owners to help provide real-world experience to our entrepreneurship students. Our high school is pleased to announce the newest course addition to our Marketing Department: IncubatorEDU. The course is developed to provide students with an opportunity to collaborate, research, and develop a viable business plan with the support of our local business owners.
What is IncubaotrEDU?
" The INCubatoredu program offers students an authentic entrepreneurship experience. In this program, students have the opportunity to create and fully develop their own product or service. Real entrepreneurs and business experts serve as volunteer coaches and mentors guiding student teams through the Lean Startup processes of developing hypotheses about a business concept, testing those hypotheses, adapting, and further iteration. The program also includes foundational business topics such as marketing and finance.
INCubatoredu’s key points of distinction include:
How does it work?
Lubbock-Cooper High School is dedicated to ensuring our students and participating business owners maintain a professional and working relationship. There are various options available for business owners to pursue within the program:
COACHES:
Coaches are defined as our subject matter experts. Throughout the course of the year, there are many lessons in which coaches may volunteer to come in a teach our students the real-world application of the topic. Don't worry! The classroom teachers are here to help guide you through the teaching process and provide resources for the coach to use during his/her lesson.
MENTORS:
Mentors play a vital role in the success of each groups business plan. The mentors will provide individual group support to a team of students and help develop their business plan into a successful and profitable model. Mentors meet on a weekly basis. Meetings could be face-to-face, over the phone, video chats and/or emails.
BOARD:
Board members are the strategic voice of the program. These members are asked to meet with each group only twice a year. Students will present a pitch and the board members provide feedback to help the students move towards implementation of their business plan. There is the option for a board member to provide capital in order for the business(es) to start up their company. Our board members are the SHARKS in SHARK TANK!
How do I get involved?
There will be informational meeting held within the next month. This meeting will be hosted by Gayla Carlton and Brittany Wright, marketing teachers at LCHS. At this meeting we will provide additional insight about the program, answer any questions, and allow the volunteer process to begin for the upcoming school year.
How does LCHS give back?
We are so thankful that business owners within the community are giving time to help our students grow and develop into young entrepreneurs and we want to ensure you that no good deed goes unrecognized. We will be working in conjunction with local news stations and social media platforms to provide positive public relations for your business and your involvement with the success of our students in this program.
